Apex Wildlife & Pest Control Ltd provides spider extermination to residential and commercial buildings.

Spiders usually enter homes in the autumn due to their search for a warm place to spend the winter. In Canada, most spider infestations are caused by house spiders, wolf spiders and cellar spiders.

Small spider infestations can quickly become a large infestation. For this reason, we do not recommend DIY pesticide treatments for spider infestations in your home.

House Spiders

The common house spider gets its name from the fact that it is usually the spider most often encountered indoors. House spiders are not known to bite unless threatened.

Wolf Spiders

Wolf spiders wandering in homes is usually accidental. Wolf spiders tend to remain at  floor level, along walls and under furniture. Wolf spiders are not known to bite unless provoked.

Cellar Spiders

Longbodied Cellar Spider - Pholcus phala

Cellar spiders are commonly referred to as "daddy-long-legs" because of their long, thin legs. They are found in dark and damp places like cellars and basements.
